Resin inks help printers stay solvent

B&P Graphic Supplies is to launch a new water-based ink suitable for use in existing solvent machines.

The Sepiax range of AquaRes Resin ink is said to offer the advantages of solvent inks without the health and safety issues associated with solvents and without the high capital costs of moving to latex technology. AquaRes inks will run in solvent machines using piezo print head technology with a simple changeover process and no major modifications.

Managing director B&P Graphics, Andrew Wilson, said: “Many sign-makers and digital printers are budgeting for new UV or latex printers – they will be relieved to know that there is a cost-effective alternative.”

With a colour gamut and UV durability similar to that of solvent inks, but zero-odour, these inks can be used for indoor and outdoor applications. No harmful solvents are used in their formulation, so they can be used in a crowded work space and prints can be installed in working environments.

Inks are available in the four primary colours and light colours.
