Ink Saver is ColorGate’s GCR technology for CMYK and light-colour half-tone printing systems, said to reduce ink costs by an average of 15 per cent while maintaining output quality. Ink Saver uses DeviceLink profiles to optimise the colour composition by reducing the CMY proportion in the motif and replacing it with a higher proportion of black.
