Canon Large Format Media finds stock with specialist resellers

A group of resellers have been appointed, Canon Media Specialist, by Velmex Distribution and approved to supply the complete range of Canon LFP media now readily available in the UK.
Velmex Distribution, the Canon large format printer distributor, has announced, previously difficult to obtain, Canon LFP media is now stocked and ready to supply through selective LFP resellers. The decision to go selective was decided by the company in an effort to show customers just how exceptional and cost effective the Canon range of media can be. Not confident this message was understood fully in the channel, Velmex Distribution decided to create a select distribution policy with the aim to keep margin in the product for resellers and knowledge levels high.
Velmex Distribution’s Sales Director, Brendan Wright said “By taking this specialist approach it has enabled us to ensure a superior service through our appointed outlets. A media substrate technologist devised an examination to determine the skill level at our media outlets and the resellers appointed have shown a high degree of knowledge about print media. We’re confident they can encourage the growth of Canon media and customer loyalty to the brand.”
Whilst fully expecting to announce further Canon Media Specialist later in the year Velmex Distribution has initially approved five resellers: Designline Systems; Imaging Direct Ltd; Kadfire Ltd; NEED Solutions, RGB UK and Total Imaging Ltd.
“When selecting appropriate large format media, knowledge costs." says Wright, "Organisations offering discounts for superior quality products do so to the detriment of knowledgeable print media guidance, which for most customers fails them!”.
