Hybrid offers visitors the opportunity to ‘learn on us’ at Sign & Digital UK
Learn on Hybrid at Sign & Digital UK 2012
Hybrid Services Ltd – Mimaki’s exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland – is launching an exciting new initiative at this year’s Sign & Digital UK exhibition; the Mimaki Learning Zone. Situated on Hybrid’s stand at the entrance to Hall 3, the Mimaki Learning Zone is a destination both for existing Mimaki customers seeking expert advice on how to get the most from their investment and prospective wide format companies looking to learn from independent industry professionals on how to integrate new technology into their operations.
Expert Mimaki advice
Andy Lewis – Hybrid’s Technical Services manager – will be on hand with members of his technical team to provide answers on any Mimaki related topic – from software to inks, machine care to tips & tricks, and everything in between. “There’s no better place to receive expert advice on your Mimaki than here,” says Lewis - who’s worked with Mimaki hardware for over 12 years. “Every member of the Tech Services team has benefitted from intensive Mimaki training and our uniquely close links to the brand. Every member of the team has an enviable amount of industry experience so we look forward to helping as many customers as we can during the show.”
In addition to the Hybrid Technical Team, the Mimaki Learning Zone will feature a different independent industry expert on each of the three days, allowing visitors to glean valuable business knowledge from successful companies who use Mimaki wide format solutions in the day-to-day running of their businesses.
Opportunities for businesses to learn
The first day of the exhibition sees The Printing House director, Peter Harrison, on hand to discuss how commercial litho printing companies can add an outdoor durable print and cut solution to their equipment line-up based on his own company’s successful model. On the middle day, Austin McKinlay – director of Colchester based UIS – will be available to assist customers seeking to leverage the excitement around dye sublimation printed polyester point of sale and exhibition graphics. In fact; visitors will be able to see a great example of his company’s work, as UIS’s Mimaki JV5-320 was used to create the four, 12m2 fabric canopies suspended above the Hybrid stand!
Matthew Cooke – owner of thriving sign maker and vehicle graphics company M C Signs features on the final day of the exhibition when visitors can talk to him about how a pair of Mimaki outdoor durable printers and cutting plotters caters for his business, producing everything from stunning commercial vehicle liveries to banner stands.
“A visit to the Mimaki Learning Zone is a unique opportunity for visitors to really take something valuable away from the exhibition,” concludes Lewis. “We’re keen for sign and graphics companies, new and old, to ‘learn on us’ throughout the show and I’m sure it’ll be a huge success.”
