Kolour Krazy is now the happy new owner of a SolJet Pro III XC-540 printer following its competition win |
Bournemouth-based Kolour Krazy has won Roland DG’s Win a Pro 3 Printer competition. To win the SolJet Pro III XC-540 printer and support package worth over £27, 500, entrants registered on the website, completed a range of questions about the SolJet Pro III printer and answered a tie-break question.
Family-run Kolour Krazy has been operating for nine years. With a staff of five, the company provides printing and copying services from narrow to wide format. Applications include large format poster and banner printing and finishing, lamination, encapsulation, board mounting, plus printing corporate clothing and t-shirts.
Kolour Krazy’s Mark Johnson said: “We were absolutely thrilled and surprised when we found out that we had won. Before we heard about the competition we had been looking to expand our large format capability. We had requested information about the SolJet Pro III machine. We have a Roland CAMM-1 cutter so we have always felt that Roland equipment is very reliable.”
After installation, Mark attended a course at the Roland Academy, Walsall College to learn about the latest tools and production techniques for the production of professional display graphics.
Mark added: “We’re finding that by just using the machine on a daily basis, we’re really discovering how we could make our business grow. And while we’ve had good advice about vinyl and PVCs, we’ve also found ourselves looking at a range of papers to put through the machine.
“We are going to expand our display and signage capacity and are also outputting lots of stickers, as the print and cut facility is excellent. Traditionally we have dealt with smaller companies, but now feel we can service the corporate market. We are also exploring flags.”
