Print partnership RIPs into 3D market
Published:  01 August, 2007

Lenticular and 3D software developer, HumanEyes Technologies and Caldera Graphics, a provider of RIP and workflow solutions for digital wide format imaging, have announced a technology and commercial partnership under which Caldera Graphics will become a global distributor of HumanEyes products.

As part of the agreement, modules based on the HumanEyes technology will be integrated into Caldera RIP and workflow solutions. A flip generation and interlace module using HumanEyes technology will be integrated into Caldera’s next version of software, enabling customers to produce basic lenticular effects from the one software interface.

CEO, Caldera Graphics, Joseph Mergui, said: “Digital wide format printing is a dynamic market, always on the look out for special applications so lenticular printing brings a real added-value proposition to a wide-format imaging and printing business. It’s an exciting new field to be involved in and Caldera decided to be the first to integrate lenticular capabilities into its products. We found HumanEyes’s lenticular technology to be the most industrial, reliable and predictable solution for wide format lenticular printing. The software is easy to use, powerful and makes a welcome addition to our product portfolio.

“For all known and yet to be discovered digital wide format applications, realistic 3D and lenticular 2D effects are finally within reach of all those who want to integrate a lenticular printing strategy into their business. We believe Caldera’s high-performance RIP and workflow solutions combined with HumanEyes’s technologies will offer a powerful tool for added-value professional digital printing.”
