Manufacturer of all-British CNC routing and engraving machines, Pacer Systems, has updated its K Series system to enhance production capabilities.
A twin ball screw system with dual X-axis motors now drives the router, rigidly locking the gantry square, while the bed and frame construction is heavier to ensure greater accuracy and smoother cutting. The upgraded K Series also benefits from a four or six zone vacuum bed, with the ability to localise the vacuum on specific sections when using smaller off-cuts of material or when holding small components.
All units are supplied with version three of the XMC-E machine control software, designed to make programming simple. Two or three-dimen-sional data can be loaded for simple tool path creation and the Windows XP-based software will also integrate with any current CAD/CAM system. The new software features a graphical facelift as well as features such as a material utilisation facility whereby operators can see items cut from a panel and store this information for future reference. A time and costing estimation tool is also available for pre-costing jobs.
