UV inks won't flake out
Published:  01 February, 2008

Formulated for use with the company's Jeti flatbed printers, Gandinnovations has launched a new range of Jeti Premium UV-curable inks designed to exhibit good flexibility and adhesion to polymeric substrates. The inks can be used with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), coroplast, polycarbonate, polystyrene, different grades of PVC, polyolefins and polyesters, on roll stock or rigid substrates. Gandinnovations claims the ink will not peel, flake or chip when cut on automated dye cutter or router equipment.

Manufactured using lightfast pigments suitable for use on outdoor displays such as billboards, automotive decorations and vehicle wraps, the Premium UV-curable ink sets yield a wide colour gamut, including white and clear. The printed colours are said to be vibrant and sharp, helping customers hit the benchmark colour every time.

The inks also feature a solvent-free formulation, using safe radiation curable raw materials that do not result in the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This makes them environmentally friendly as well as reducing worker exposure to hazardous substances.
