Investment meets pressing demand

The Delta Group has installed a Thieme 5070 two-colour press as part of its investment programme

Investment in new machinery is expected to extend capacity and improve quality at the Delta Group as it enhances it abilities in printing point-of-purchase and large format materials. In all, the company has installed a second Roland 905-8-LV XXL press, a HP Scitex CORjet flatbed inkjet press and a Thieme 5070 two-colour press at its six-acre London headquarters.

Production director, Mick Eldridge, commented: “Business at The Delta Group has continued to go from strength to strength. We decided to purchase the CORjet and Thieme presses to take pressure off existing equipment. Digital kit traditionally has high ink costs, but as the CORjet uses water-based ink, it's more economical. It's also less labour intensive than other flatbed equipment with print quality.”

Mick concluded: “Together, these investments provide additional capacity in our screen, litho and digital printing departments allowing us to meet and exceed our clients needs and expectations.”
