How big is your footprint?
Published:  26 July, 2008

Carbon footprint calculations are now listed for UPM paper products as part of the Paper Profile. Designed to help customers estimate their own footprint, the calculations are based on the ten elements of the carbon footprint framework for paper and board products developed by the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI). The data is based on annual averages of specific paper machine lines and the figures refer to fossil CO2 emissions.

Environmental manager, Päivi Rissanen, said: "We want to provide data in a consistent form to help customers estimate their impact on the environment as accurately as possible. The Paper Profile therefore includes information on different environmental parameters as well as product composition."
