Kaye-Dee has enhanced its Kimoto Freejet 320 flatbed printer with the new Freejet 320 Plus model featuring an eight channel print head, ink adjustment driver and audible end of print. Thanks to its eight channel print head the printer offers an extended colour space and resolution up to 5760dpi.
The system uses a new direct solvent ink for production on a range of materials, including printing on plastic substrates without the need for pre-coating: eliminating a production step. A pre-coating spray is still offered for metals and other materials, creating a scratch and abrasive resistant layer which maximises material compatibility.
Suitable substrates include plastic, metal, wood, foam/acrylic boards, marble and stone. The system is ideal for personalising promotional items including golf balls, rulers, lighters and pens, plus rigid substrates up to 120mm thick with a maximum print size of A3+.
The printer is linked to a PC using a USB printer driver. RIP software is not required. The Freejet 320 Plus can be controlled by software applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Microsoft Publisher and Word.
