Prepare to be inspired
Published:  05 March, 2009

Activity is intensifying for Sign and Digital UK, with some exhibitors giving a sneak preview of their preparations for the event.

Global Erecting Sign Services (GESS), for example, will play host to Olympic swimmer and Strictly Come Dancing star, Mark Foster, on 29 April. He will be on stand to meet visitors and to make a prize draw for £2000 worth of free installation work. GESS will also present a range of full building wraps, one-to-one building montages and huge format banner installations.

Meanwhile Colourgen is set to host the first UK unveiling of the new H-Series solvent inkjet printers from Seiko II, the ColorPainters H-74S and 104S. Said to combine high quality with high volume, the two models print at up to 55m2/hour in eight-colour mode and 100m2/hour in four-colour mode. Other features include smart pass technology to reduce horizontal banding and double drop technology, designed to enhance ink density by firing multiple drops without compromising speed.

Also at the show will be Alcan Composites highlighting a range of light weight sheet materials for display and signage applications. These include: Dibond aluminium composite panels, Forex rigid foam plastic sheets, Kapa and Foam-X lightweight foam boards.
