A new on-line tool from Neschen is set to help printers find the right combination of printer, media, RIP and ink for every job. The ColorBase database is the result of Neschen's collaboration with a number of manufacturers, with the aim of maintaining appropriate colour profiles for Neschen media users and to update these profiles as new printers come to market.
The service provides the right printing profile for all standard combinations and is available free of charge from the German coating specialist. Whenever an existing profile is replaced by a new one, registered users will be sent an e-mail updating them.
Senior product manager, inkjet Europe at Neschen, Dirk Peereboom, explained: "ColorBase is a system for managing and providing up-to-date colour profiles, guaranteeing the colour accuracy of digital prints. We also show inkjet profiles for less widely-available printer types and inks and profiles not yet available can be requested on-line and created as part of our Neschen Color Concept."
