EFI's Colorproof XF RIP has gained Fogra certification for end users of Epson's new 7900 printer with embedded SpectroProofer measuring device.
System benefits are said to include: compatibility with the SpectroProofer measuring device for linearisation and media profiling with no user interaction; colour optimisation for a low Delta E; automatic calibration and colour verification of single jobs thanks to the embedded SpectroProofer's in-line media wedge measuring; and full support of the Ugra/Fogra media wedge v3.0 for Epson SpectroProofer.
The embedded SpectroProofer measuring device supports remote proofing and remote calibration. When combined with the EFI RIPs, certification print quality is said to be achievable not just in lab conditions, but at any end user location.
The certification was obtained using EFI's 6225XF CertProof Paper, which forms a substantial part of FograCert Proof creation.
