The Practice of Ink Jet Technology is an intensive course aimed at chemists and scientists who want to improve their ink jet practical expertise. Organised by IMI Europe, the course will be hosted at Xennia Technology's Letchworth laboratories, 15 to 18 June.
During the four day event, topics will include: an introduction to ink design and testing; critical aspects, physical properties, ink types; an overview of ink manufacturing; mixing, milling, dispersions and filtration, plus manufacturing quality control practices.
Practical ink making will be featured, as well as inkjet characterisation of different inks and image characterisation techniques, factors affecting print quality and tech-
niques to measure adhesion, scratch resistance, abrasion and optical density.
Technology demonstrations will take place covering a range of inkjet printing equipment, with an inkjet surgery and question and answer session.
