Print and cut package strikes a chord
Published:  21 May, 2009

A total of five Mimaki UJV-160 UV-curable roll and flat sheet printers have been sold by Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT), with the first going to Pure Leisure Marketing.

Managing director of GPT, Stuart Cole, said: "This product has really struck a chord with customers. We are offering the printer together with the Mimaki CF-1218TD/RC flat bed cutting table at a price that offers real value. We have targeted the printer and cutter bundle to companies that we know will really benefit from the speed, quality, reliability and flexibility of the UJV160."

The printer uses Mimaki's flexible UV LED curable ink set, said to enable stretching by up to 200 per cent. This eliminates cracking, even when the surface is bent or curved in applications such as vehicle wrapping, shutters and banners.

Pure Leisure's Gary Ackers added: "The UJV has coped with every-thing we have thrown at it.

It has enhanced our offering and makes us a more responsive supplier."
