DPLenticular has been working closely with Bergman Media Group to develop 3Dynamick: a plastic lens material that allows images to be printed in both three-dimensional and animated form. Bergman is using the technique for applications such as packaging, book covers, CD covers and point-of-sale items.
The development of 3Dynamick was technically challenging so Bergman utilised the experience and expertise of DPLenticular to get the product off the ground. DPLenticular organised an internal workshop as an introduction to printing with lenticular products and offered advice on film selection for the different expressions.
CEO Bergman Media Group, Andree Bergman, explained: "A 3D-product requires specialist knowledge, both technically and creatively. We had direct contact with DPLenticular throughout the research and development stage.
"We have since developed a quick-drying ink for DPLenticular's plastic sheets, which allows us to guarantee colour quality to customers. They can now check a digital proof that really matches the final colours."
