Independent software provider, StudioRIP UK, has introduced a variant of its Version 3.0 StudioRIP product, designed specifically for the screen printing sector and available throughout Europe from Italian firm, Grafco. The product will be branded Xerio RIP.
Designed to help screen printers realise the potential of stochastic screening, Xerio RIP is compatible with PostScript Level 3 and PDF 1.6. It is said to be ideal for high performance imaging tasks, interfacing to a range of computer-to-plate systems, imagesetters, inkjet and laser printers.
Sales director of StudioRIP UK, Andy Hemmings, said: "Grafco saw StudioRIP in action and asked if we could create a version specifically tailored to the screen printing market, taking mesh frequencies into account as well as standard screen frequencies. Xerio RIP incorporates Grafco's screen printing knowledge with our RIP building expertise."
