Vinyl manufacturer, Hexis, has achieved renewed ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management systems across its four sites in France. Bureau Veritas granted the certification until 2011 after auditing the company's processes regarding the design, manufacture, distribution and trading of visual communication media and protective films.
A computerised traceability system helps ensure consistent quality checks and conformity of materials and products, with specifications all along the production chain, from the supplier to the end-user guaranteeing coherent quality control. Quality of raw materials and finished products, guaranteed lead-times and high-performance production equipment also aid the process.
President of Hexis Group, Michel Mateu, said: "ISO 9001 is without a doubt the leading international standard for quality management in an industrial business.
